Project Financing

The CSM Project Financing capability guarantees to the company an efficient and effective support to innovation through financing for industrial, pre-competitive research and technology transfer activities.

Accordingly,  there are  many opportunities to be exploited in the framework of several  national, regional and European funds which facilitate research and innovation by industrial companies and research centres.  These require specific specialised expertises dedicated to their monitoring, selection, technical-economic preparation of projects, activation of appropriate well-balanced consortia in terms of industry, universities, etc. partecipation  and the interaction with financing agencies.

In this field CSM is able to actively support the industries with which it collaborates respect to the orientation and the assistance in the management of applications and formalities, the drawing-up of project applications and the relative technical execution and management.

For that reason, the CSM’s capability in “project financing” is an important asset completely integrated to the company technical activities, even when commissioned to it by Shareholders and Customers.

The early collaborative R&D projects, CSM started to  participate to,   were conducted in late '60s, just few years after its foundation, under the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) Research Programme. Over time, it has also raisen its partecipation of the national-funded projects issued by the Italian Ministry of Research and University, Ministry of Industrial Affairs and the Ministry of the Defence.

Nowadays, CSM has established a wide network of national and international R&D collaborations, setting it as an important member of the rising European Research Area.

In respect of that, the CSM's portfolio covers all the technological areas of its interest, by cross-matching the wide scenario of funding instruments. Today the on-going projects have spread over more technological sectors than in the past as shown in list below:

Its intense staying into these dynamisms has also progressively allowed CSM to establish important relationships with most of the national and international organisations like EUROFER, EISA,
IISI, EDA, ASD, AIRI, AIAD, etc. and partecipate to their events.
Furthermore, CSM has adopted a specific strategy to make easier and more direct the access to funds for the technological innovation to SMEs. It is based on “Tecnopolo of Castel Romano, a smart “consortium” structure able to integrate the technological contents of CSM to special funds put at disposal by the regional government, so realising interesting opportunities for SMEs.
